RiskSchools is an innovative project implemented by CONCEPT CONSULTING ENGINEERS S.A. in partnership with the Research Unit of Soil Dynamics and Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH).

Co-funded by the European Union under the Investment Innovation Plans Action of the “Central Macedonia 2021-2027” Programme (ESPA 2021-2027), the project develops an innovative, fast and user-friendly tool for the estimation and calibration of the seismic risk of school buildings. It includes a smartphone application for mapping, archiving and calibration of seismic vulnerability data, as well as a unified platform for data management and processing. The application field is the school building stock of the Region of Central Macedonia (approximately 2,700 schools in 7 Regional Units and 38 Municipalities).

Key deliverables include a database of seismic fragility curves, vulnerability and risk assessment software for different seismic scenarios, technical documentation, a business plan for commercial exploitation, and a methodological framework for scalability and patenting. The project enhances the resilience of critical educational infrastructure through innovative digital tools.
